Jessi Cooper

Jessi is from a small town in East Texas and has always been driven to compete at her maximum athletic level.  She was a three-sport athlete in high school playing softball, volleyball, and basketball.  This passion for fitness and competition continued into college, where she played volleyball at Grayson County College in Sherman, TX.

After that Jessi moved to Houston where she developed an interest in running and joined the local globo gym.  After growing tired of single-axis machines at the gym, she read Mark Riptoe’s book “Starting Strength” and fell in love with the barbell.  Over a few years Jessi learned to accept being the weird chick doing deadlifts at the gym alongside the guys.  But then she finally found her home in CrossFit and Olympic Lifting, where she could share her love affair with the barbell alongside similarly-minded athletes.

However, there is only so much one can do outside in Houston, and the pull of the mountains calling her to Colorado was too strong to resist.  In December of 2014 she finally made it to the beautiful Rockies and life has never been the same.

Jessi spends her free time hiking, climbing, lifting, and doing whatever it takes to get her outside as much as possible.  Other passions are nutrition and working on becoming a better person physically, mentally and spiritually.  She is a dog mom to two pug mixes, who are barely dogs, but she loves them all the same.
